It is a useful way of managing waste materials that are difficult to recycle into new products, reducing the volumes sent to landfill and generating power for local communities and economies.
Averda has over three decades of experience in turning waste into energy. We are investing in modern waste-to-energy facilities for municipal solid waste in several of our markets, but we also use cutting-edge technology to transform difficult, hazardous waste streams into sources of fuel as well through our ‘blending platform’ in South Africa. We also have expertise in turning food and organic waste into sources of energy via different means.
